Sphynx is a breed that has a downy, fine coat. It is often compared to chamois. They have a similar pattern to their fur, if they had any. It will appear solid, tabby, or another pattern. The skin of these cats is usually white or pink, so it is vital to protect them from the sun. They are also more susceptible to cold because they have no hair.
The Donskoy originated in Rostov on Don, Russia. It was first registered as a breed in 1987. It was officially recognized as a breed of world in 1997. The Sphynx looks identical, but lacks hair due to a gene. They are medium-sized cats, with almond-shaped eyes and large ears. They have oily skin due to the lack of hair, so it is important to groom them.
Peterbald is a created breed that originated in Russia. This breed is a possible cross between an Oriental Shorthair and a Donskoy. They need to have the body and looks of an Oriental breed, but they are not hairy. They are easily recognized by their muscular body, almond-shaped eyes, large ears, and wedge-shaped muzzle.
